Welcome, and… Excuse me for just a minute, my frustration isn’t directed at you.

I need to rant a moment about the whole “eating healthy” movement.  I can’t believe how misleading most of the information is!  I hear about people getting food advice from their masseuse.  I hear from people that still follow the misguided food advice they learned in the 1980s and 1990s — when the big food companies first told us how to eat!  Then or now, I don’t think those big companies have our best interests in mind, do you?  Look around: do people eat better today than 30 years ago?

Check this out.  A friend recently told me he was eating healthier because he started adding protein to his morning chocolate shake.  Man, that’s not how this works!

I get it, it’s not your fault if you don’t know what healthy is or how to get there.  There is a lot of confusion and smoke around the idea of “eating well.”

And you know what? Not everyone wants to eat better because they think it’ll be the end of enjoying food.  People will come up with all sorts of reasons they can’t eat well.  In the last month, someone told me,

I don’t want to give up some foods — I see them as part of my quality of life

You and I know, eating well doesn’t need to be an all-or-nothing decision. The thought of giving up favorite foods terrifies people.  I don’t want that, and you don’t want that!

I’ve even read,

I don’t want to have to change my life drastically just to not despise my physical appearance

No one wants to make drastic efforts, but to make a drastic change something has to happen.  Eating healthy doesn’t have to be difficult effort, but you need a system that makes it easy….
